Wow, we are almost finished!! I expect that you are fairly well caught up with all of your work.
This week will work on finishing the iMovie Software Proficiency and then I will introduce the movie project and give you time to collaborate with your peers!! Please bring headphones if you have them ;-)
Journals: I just realized, okay, someone told me last week in class, that the L&L March issue is actually a March/April issue. I was waiting for the April issue and thought it was never going to arrive. . .well, it isn't :-(
I am going to propose some possible journals
Journal 9: It's from the latest issue of The Journal "Are Schools Inhibiting 21st Century Learning?" by Dave Nagel
Journal 10: This is from Edutopia, "Disabled Bodies, Able Minds: Giving Voice, Movement, and Independence to the Physically Challenged," by Diane Curtis
This week's Question: Dog, Cat, other, no pet? Explain. (I pick my dog Francis!!)

I pick dog, specifically, my dog, Teddy. He does think he is our son, though, and he also thinks the cat is his puppy. I would be very sad without him. Our cat, however, could be gone tomorrow and would not be missed. Well, our girls would miss him. Our cat, Oscar, knows that there is a dollar limit set when we take him to the vet, so he keeps himself pretty healthy. Sorry to any cat lovers; I'm just not one of them.
I pick dog. I used to own cats, but one got picked off with a sling shot by some kids, one fell into an outhouse, one died of feline AIDS, and one had so many litters close together that, at one time, I owned eleven! At 18, I developed allergies to cats, so I pick dog - our hyper Springer Spaniel-Lab-Boxer mix, Pongo,:).
I guess dog-(although our cat, Harley, is very affectionate and low maintenance). We have a 6 month old Norwegian Elkhound puppy, Oslo, and he is a great dog. We had an Alaskan Malamute for 15 years. Nothing beats a dog greeting you each day!
I pick both cats and dogs! We have a lab puppy a year old named Levi who owns my two sons, and I have 2 cats (Sampson & Delilah). I've had Sampson for 12 years now and he's definitely the head of the household amongst our pets-yes even the dog is submissive to him. There is discussion floating about on getting another dog but I think 4 kids and 4 pets is a little much, don't you?? Please tell my husband this!
I love cats AND dogs. I grew up with dogs all my life but when I moved out on my own I inherited a lovable cat from a roommate. The cat grew on me; he was affectionate, loving and didn't need as much as attention as dogs. Since then I've had several cats (mostly all orange, male tabbys). Right now I have my old man Kiki and Cali and spunky new addition to the family who we adopted in December. We like to camp a lot and cats are easy on their own which is nice. There has been a little talk of a dog but for now life is too busy as it is so I plan on waiting a few years.
I choose no pet. After my younger daughter was "potty" trained, I realized that I didn't want to clean up after anyone or anything. I want to be able to go on vacation without having to figure out who is going to pet-sit while I'm gone. Nope. I'm not a pet person. The only pet I told my daughters they could have is a pet rock.
DOGS! My husband and I have rescued to adorable Min Pins! They have brought us a lot of joy! I don't remember what life was like without them.
If I could I would have one of everything. Where we live right now we can only have one cat, Audrey. She is evil but I love her. My dream pets would include dogs, cats, birds, rats, a goat, and a ferret.
I would definitely say dogs. I have grown up with dogs, normally Labradors. At my parents house we have a black Lab and a 2 year old Rottweiler and they are always keeping us busy and active. I live in a town home so I am in the process of looking for a smaller size dog but I can’t seem to find any I like. I have grown up with bigger dogs.
While I've had both dogs and cats my whole life I am going to have to say dogs. I've had two rescue dogs and they have both been wonderful pets.
I pick dog, especially English Bulldogs. I would love to own a decent piece of property and just run a rescue for bulldogs. We lost both our bullies in December and life has not been as much fun, but they are a lot of maintenance; financially, medically and emotionally. We've been tempted to bring another into our home, but we're just not ready, emotionally, yet.
No pets. I like dogs better than cats, but I don't like having them around me all the time. I don't like the smells and I don't like the hair all over everything.
I prefer dogs over cats. I had wanted a dog for so long that I finally wore down my parents who after thirteen years let me get a dog. I love my dog Jesse. She is the best behaved dog I know. We got her from the Humane Society when she was only eight months old. I can't believe that anyone could give her away, but I'm glad they did because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten her.
I guess because I work with animals I should say that I like all animals, but I don't like cats (don't tell my boss!) I am actually kind of afraid of them which is bad when I take a group of kids in to meet the cats and don't really want to take them out of their kennels. I am always worried they are going to turn. Dogs are more predictable and are more interested in pleasing you. I have a dog. His name is Stick. He rules. I also have animals that I have adopted to be part of my education programs and live in my office. They include: a rat (Barbara, I used to have two but Jenna died), a mouse (Cheese), a Betta named Leroy 2 and a bunch of Mickey Mouse Guppies.
I pick puppies! Although I don't own any pets, I really want to get a puppy...... One thing at a time :) One more responsibility just gives my anxiety!
I choose dog. Just got a dog. his name is Capistrano. We call him Capi, El capi-tan, the capster, and he responds to all of the names. I have hads cats, but they are in their own world. you cant walk a cat. i like the loyalty of a good mutt. I am training my doggie to play dead when i say the word bang and make a gun sign with my hand. show me a feline that can do that.
i am a dog person, not to say i dont like cats. Dogs are not as independent and they need there owners, cats dont. I adopted my dog Bennett from the human society 5 years ago. He has been a great addition to our family.
Well because I was never really around cats growing up... I'm super duper allergic to them! So I definitely prefer dogs over cats!!! Dogs are just so much fun and playful!! Unfortunately my doggie, Vanilla, who I had for 13 years recently went to doggie heaven, I hope to get another dog when I start a family of my own ;)
Definitely dog. I'm allergic to cats, but even if I weren't I'd still say dog. We have a boxer named Bruiser. He is the best. His "chewing" stage was a bit trying, but he is the most playful, yet mild-mannered dog I have ever met. Most importantly, he is absolutely great with my kids.
NO PET!! At least at this time. I have always been an animal lover. I have had rabbits, fish, hamsters, cats, dogs and an albino burmese python. I currently want to get a Pug and another snake, but I am still working on my partner. New relationship, wedding, school, all reasons he keeps putting me off.
