Weak 15: The End of Your Techno-Palooza!

YOU MADE IT. . .Assuming the movies are coming along well and you haven't drowned in the TaskStream, you have finished the requirements of the course. I hope your experience was an enjoyable one.

This week:
finish the movies. . .upload all of your artifacts, write your TaskStream narratives. . .and ask for help if you need it! I have pretty much seen most of your narratives for NETS-I and you should be well on your way to finishing the rest of the narratives. When your movie is finished, call me over so I can upload it to my hard drive. . .I need you to export your movie as a full-quality DV for me.

Next Week: We will watch your movies, eat popcorn (if someone brings it ;-), and polish up TaskStream! And, of course, we must do those pesky evaluations.

This week's Question: What has been your favorite assignment this semester? Explain.

My favorite assignment this semester has been the iMovie project. Awhile ago I thought I was going to be a visual arts major. My goal was to become a film editor. I still enjoy editing films which is why I loved this assignment.

My favorite assignment was the newsletter. It was fun and it taught me something new about a program that I use all the time. I could also very easily see myself using this frequently in my classes the future.

My favorite program was the Classroom 2.0 assignment because it introduced me to google earth which is such an interesting and fun program.

My favorite project this semester was GoogleDocs. It makes life a lot easier when you don't have to continuously email folks with documents to format and add new information to. I had never heard of this tool until I got to this class. I have used GoogleDocs for another class a couple of times already. I have also introduced it to others who claim to love it as well.

My favorite project this semester was the Inspiration project. I had never seen the program before and really enjoyed looking at all its potential uses. Plus I think that it would be great to use in the classroom, to help students organize their learning.

My favorite part of this semester has been learning about imovie and creating our own short film. I just wish we had more time to create it, but it's such a cool program. I also really liked learning about and using a MAC. I actually might be switching sides in the near future...sorry PC.

My favorite assignment was powerpoint-I had never used it before and it was so easy and fun! I can see using this a lot in my classroom and teaching students how to make powerpoint presentations.

My favorite assignment was learning and using the Kidspiration software. I will definitely use that in the classroom. The Atomic Learning tutorials is also good to know about.

I liked this because it made this whole teaching process seem real to me because this is definelty somehting I would do to introduce myself to my class.... I actually had fun doing every assignment, though tedius, I learned a lot of teaching resources that I can use later.

They were all pretty cool. I really liked the newsletter, that gave me alot of confidence in my ability. And the rubric, because it showed me how to do charts and make them vissually appealing. I also liked Kidsparation, I think that is going to be huge for teaching kids notetaking and brainstorming. The movie was the most fun and learned that it super managable! I really learned alot this semester and am really glad I took th class. And lastly, using blogger. I have never used any of it, so it is all real new and cool.

By far my favorite was the Classroom Newsletter mainly because it was fairly easy for the technologically challenged [me ;)] and as creative as we wanted it to be, not to mention...we had awesome in-class guidance. This meant I wasn't pulling my hair out at home wondering what happened to my screen, :)! Overall, I've enjoyed all the assignments, especially the ones that we did in groups.

I have learned so much in this class, most of which I have already used in my classroom. My students are using a Wiki to help them study for their final. My newsletter is looking much more spiffy than the boring old one I had, and they have used Inspiration for a couple of science projects already. I have just begun to use RSS to keep track of some of my favorite places - it really is a time-reducer! As useful as all of those have been, my favorite project was the social justice movie. Even though the numbers were disturbing the producing of the movie was quite fun, plus I was in a great group!! Thanks for the knowledge and the humor!!

I would have to say that my favorite assignment was getting ready for the iMovie and learning how to put it all together. I learned the most from this assignment and it is something that I want to use within my classroom.

I really enjoyed the Web 2.0 assignment. It made me really sit and try to understand the new technology that is available. I also liked learning about the MAC in general, it is nice that it is not so foreign anymore.
