Week Fourteen: Would a YouTubeTop be Appropriate for the Prom?

Almost Finished!!
You should be making your movies, writing your TaskStream narratives, and catching up on whatever is giving you the most stress. Don't forget that the movies need to be data driven (i.e. do your research!!).

I expect that all revisions are to be finished ASAP and I should get everything graded very soon.

Your journals are due soon (April 23-tomorrow), so don't forget those!

Let me know if there is anything that you have turned in but have not received a grade.

This week's question: What haven't you learned that you wished you had? If there was one thing I could still teach you, what would it be?

I don't have a legitimate answer for you. I am way ahead of where I was "technically." I am not even sure if I know what I don't know. It would have been cool if you taught us photoshop to duplicate the parking pass. It costs a fortune to park here. just kidding, that would be unethical.

I actually was very interested in learning how to podcast. I've been trying to piece together how to do it on my own but having instruction in class would have been more helpful.

Something that I wished that I would have learned or pursued is Spanish. Growing up I always to Spanish classes, but I never really was into it, which is probably why I did not retain that much. That is a huge regret of mine and is completely my fault. As far as your class goes, I have already learned so much and I cant think of anything that I wish you would've taught.

I would have loved to have learned more about Adobe Photoshop. I've only used it for the basics but would love to explore its possibilities. So I would have to say Photoshop would be the one thing I would like to still learn.

I am pleased with the knowledge gained in Excel and Powerpoint. These were programs that I had never used before. Imovie has me excited with the possibility of so many avenues that I can cover in education. I would have liked some instruction in music creation and modification. A lesson on Garageband and other programs that would teach us to modify music would be a great addition.

I am not aware of anything that I would use in the classroom that I have not learned in this class. I have learned some new things such as blogging and have become more proficient in other things that I have used in college but have not used since like powerpoint. So leaving this class there is nothing that I can think of that I really wished I had learned.

That's quite the question! I think that there will always be things that I will want to know and learn but unfortunately might not be able to! And as far as technology... there will always be something to learn since it is growing so quickly! But I guess I would have liked to learn about more of the programs that Macs have to offer.

I wished we had learned to use Photoshop and had created our own website. I am clueless when it comes to how to create a website and I have always wanted to learn. I also think that creating a website for use with our future students could be very helpful.

Basic web design, maybe photoshop and some more detailed things you can do with itunes such as podcasting. I am trying to think of the things that teenagers know now that I have no clue about. It must be rather difficult to decide what to include in the class when there are so many things out there. As far as our education goes, I would like to take another technology class in the program, it seems that this is the direction education is going and would be valuable to continue the things we have begun in the class.

I have learned so much in this class! I can't imagine fitting anything else in...

I have learned a lot from this class. One thing I would have liked to touch more on would have been Photoshop and placing it on a website of our own. The class was very helpful in all!

The only thing i wish we had learned about is photoshop. I have tried to mess with it but i just dont understand how to use it. I think photoshop would come in handy for fixing those pics that we really like.

I learned a lot in this class that I know I will use in my classroom. The class was extremely insightful and fun too. I agree with the others that learning how to do a webpage would be fun and applicable. I think too though personally I would have liked a bit more instruction on TaskStream and all its uses. I understand it helps build my portfolio, but am still fuzzy on how we go about using it when applying for a teaching position.

I think that we learned a lot of great things in this class that I would never have been able to attempt on my own. The only other thing that I think it would have been interesting to learn about building a website. I would not know how to even go about starting that.

I have already learned more than I'd imagined I would. And this course was so packed with info and assignements, I can't see how you could squeeze in anything else. But, if possible, like others in this class, I would like to have learned more about Photoshop and creating a website. Maybe there can be an advanced class (Pt. II) where these can be taught along with Podcasting, etc.

I have been really stoked on what I have learned in this class. I couldn't have imagined that I would ever write a positive thing about a computer, but now I see the light! Also, I am way more excited about technology and all the possiblities there are for the classroom. I would have liked to learn about Skyping. I keep hearing about it, and think it would be cool to see how you can use that in the classroom setting.

I have really enjoyed this class and the projects-I think for what I would use in the classroom, our basic introduction to imovies was sufficient-the group project on the social justice movie took up a lot of class time that I would have rather used on learning other things such as photoshop or podcasting-plus many other neat things teachers can do with technology in the classroom that I don't even know about!

Anything that you haven't covered would have been great. I'm sure there's a lot more out there. I would have liked to learn about Photoshop... I see that it was listed in the assignments, but I guess we just never got to it. That's ok, we covered a lot.
