Week Seven: Whee, Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wiki!

Life is a roller coaster (okay, it's not really a roller coaster; it's a cheesy overlay in the new version of Photobooth taken this morning while I spent the morning with a sick Lily, but it was still a wild ride!)

You should be knee-deep into a few assignments: copyright, journals, Inspiration, will it ever end? Tonight we are going to discuss wikis! This tool, and host (wetpaint) is very cool with wide-reaching implications in your life and future classroom! Please don't hesitate to come early to class if you are having any difficulties. . .I am always here early.

Journal 5: This is the extra-credit journal. Please choose something from the newest issue of L&L.
Don't Forget: the extra-credit only counts if it is completed B-4 the deadline!

This week's Question: What is your ultimate vacation? Imagine I could send you any place of your choosing for spring break. Where would you go, and what would you do???

White Sand, perfect water temp, blue water (well clear, but a great reflection of the sky) anywhere like that.

I would go to New Zealand. I think it technically falls under the category of the "land down under." I just want to go somewhere south of the equator and see if the toilets really do flush the opposite way. I would go to costa rica. it seems like fun.

I would go to Thailand. My brothers have traveled all over and Thailand was one of their favorite places. Also, it is quite affordable and with school, I am on a very tight budget.

A cruise down the Carribean sounds about right! I've always wanted to do that but haven't had the chance yet. A whole family vacation...or wait...maybe we'll drop the kids off at my parents...yes, that would be a nice vacation!

I would go to Australia because my friend and her family took a three month family vacation there and had the time of their lives! I was so bummed I couldn't meet them there because I just didn't have the money but ever since I heard their stories I have been wanting to go!! I want to go to Byron Bay because they loooooved it there! And I want to drink their Malibu/Cokes because it comes together in a can! I don't even really like Malibu and cokes!

I would go to Europe again, but this time visit Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Italy. I would want to see all the historic sights, and visit all the museums.

Hawaii or Australia, especially around the Great Barrior Reef. Scuba diving, snorkeling and seeing the sites, that would be fun.

I would go to Ireland. I've really been attracted to the Ireland. I love the music, I love the accents, and I the Celctic culture. Also my mom is part Irish, so I like to pretend that I have a connection to the country.

If I could go anywhere I would go to Italy. I have always wanted to go there, and I hope to someday. I think that would be such a great place to go and just spend a month or two enjoying the culture and atmosphere.

My ultimate vacation would be to travel to Venice, Italy. I would love to travel the canals in a gondola. As many of you know, I love movies. And some of my favorite movies are ones which take place in Venice. The scenery is breath taking and the place is filled with romance. I always thought that I would go to Venice for my hunnymoon (I have to find a husband first !!! ha,ha).

I would have to say that my ultimate vacation would be a trip around the world. I realize that this would take longer than spring break but it is my fantasy, so leave the technicalities out of it. Anyways, I would start by traveling across the US then down to South America (Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina) then maybe go to Egypt and then travel around the Mediterranean. Then up to Spain, France, England, Ireland… Then I would hop over to India. Lastly I would go to China and Japan before heading back home.

It would probably Australia-and I would do all the regular touristy stuff-plus just alot of laying around on the beach (with no children-they get to bond with the grandparents). My husband and I took our first grown-up vacation a few years ago to Norway. My husand envies his Viking ancestors-I would love to visit there again!

Spain or New Zealand. My uncle lived in Valencia, Spain for a long time and I always thought I'd have time to visit but life gets in the way. New Zealand because I love nature and a trip mountain biking the country sounds fun. Plus, New Zealand has mountains to snowboard and who can beat that combination?

I would imagine it would be Hawaii, Australia, or Thailand. So hard to choose. I would love to spend time with my partner in any of these places but I guess it would have to be Hawaii if it was just a week. The other two I would prefer to spend more time there exploring. Hawaii would be great to just lie on the beach and relax together.

I have always wanted to go to Greece. Hopefully I will be able to go this summer. I have seen so many pictures and it looks like the ultimate vacation spot. White sand, beautiful clear blue water, and hot sun. After this semester is over I will need a nice a vacation.

If I could afford it, I would take my family to Orlando, FL. We would spend the week at the Disney hotel and go to all the neighboring parks and eat out everyday. I would eat the biggest breakfasts and the best steaks. My wife would look for the best deals. My daughters would look for the best desserts, and I would be right there with them.

If I had a week, I would choose the Mentawai Islands, off Sumatra, Indonesia. Not only does it have some of the best waves on the planet, but the culture is extremely different than ours, the scenery is breathtaking and the food unbelievable. Yeah, the Mentawai Islands for sure!

I would like to go to the Goldeneye resort in Jamaica. My best friend got married there a few years back & when I saw the pictures, it became my dream getaway. It's totally secluded & beautiful. I would simply relax and enjoy.

I think that would like to go back to Korea b/c I haven't been back since my family immigrated to the U.S. in 1971. I would love to go hiking and see some of the natural wonders that have been left untouched.

It's hard to say where I would go because there are so many places I haven't been...and I grew up in major vacation destination, Belize. Wherever I go, I would like to see and enjoy it by land, sea, and air. Australia or Hawaii would be different and new for me -to hike, dive and snorkel or canoe, and fly over in a helicopter to see volcanoes (H) or the great barrier reef (A) from above.
