I believe we are actually at the half-way point of the course. . .I'm sure it seems longer for many of you. I have been crazy-busy for the last two weeks. I hope to catch up on all of the grading in the next week. I have attended conferences for the last two weekends, which has dramatically cut into my free and work time.
Tonight: We will revisit TaskStream and discuss the narrative and practice writing the narrative for NETS-I. If time permits, I will also introduce you to Web 2.0, the source of Journal 6.
Journal 6: Yes, there are more journals. . . I would like you to pick a technology from the Classroom 2.0 website (I highly recommend joining!), choose a link from the tools list on the right hand column for a technology that interests you, and follow a discussion or two (or three. . .) that relates to your technology. If there are no discussions for your technology, choose another topic.
In the title bar, put journal 6 follwed by the technology you have chosen. (For example: Journal 6: Microblogging). In the journal, I would like you to define the technology and then report out on what you learned from the tool discussion and read and comment on at least three peers who have chosen a different tool. You reporting out should contain the 200-250 word minumum, but you do not need to ask and answer questions. In the assignments section, you will submit your peers names.
This week's question: Okay, so I send you to your destination of choice for Spring Break, but your three-hour tour turns into . . .you being stranded indefinitely. You can only bring one book or author, one movie or film maker, and one CD or group/artist. . .what do you bring?
I'll bring Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Lawrence Kasdan or the Coen Brothers, and Radiohead or R.E.M if I'm feeling nostalgic!

.Dostoyevsky-Crime and Punishment, Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, and The Beatles white album of course.
I would bring The Art of Happiness, Casino and any Sarah McLachlan cd.
I would bring Kurt Vonnegut (I am assuming that since this is hypothetical that I can resurrect the dead), Wes Anderson or Richard Linkater, and finally Ryan Adams and the Cardinals.
If I was stranded on my tour indefinitely, I would bring "The Color Purple," by Alice Walker; "La Oveja Negra," a Mexican movie from the golden age starring Pedro Infante, a well-known actor of the time; Los Panchos, a musical trio who played traditional music in Mexico.
If I could only bring one book, one movie, and one CD with me to Venice, Italy I would bring A Knight in Shining Armor, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. I could see myself reading, watching, and listening to these picks over and over again and never tiring of them.
For author I would bring Nora Roberts, for filmmaker I would bring Steven Spielberg, and artist I would bring Garth Brooks.
I would bring Ted Dekker (author) because he's got a crazy mind and would keep me entertained, Steven Spiellberg because I'm sure he'd figure out a way to get us home and make a movie of it, and my cd would be Jack Johnson (to keep me mellow)
I would bring a Hustler... just seeing if you are awake. I would really bring A wrinkle in TIme, as for music I would bring Jimmy Buffett; "Living and Dying in 3 quarter time," and the group i would bring with me would be Shania Twain, her singing dont impress me much but i do like the way she looks. if we are being totally honest i do like her music, but dont tell anyone.
Any Harry Potter book, I know they are for kids but they are just fun!Ferris Bueller's Day Off, cause I know all the words so I can say all the lines. Allison Krauss, just cause it's pretty.
I would bring the autobiography of John Wooden for my book, the movie would have to be Last of the Mohicans, and the music would be Faith by jason upton.
I'd bring a Bible
Well, I just started reading some C.S. Lewis, and if I'm stuck somewhere indefinitely, I'll need something to keep me calm. The Money Pit with Tom Hanks is hilarious and I can watch that over and over. And, Michael Buble for music.
I would bring the book Crime and Punishment, the movie Little Giants, and the CD my brother made me before he joined the army!
For reading material I would bring People Magazine, for a movie I would bring Wedding Crashers or any season of Friends. For music I would bring any Mariah Carey CD.
If I was stranded I would hope to have the book A New Earth, either the movie The Notebook or 40 Year Old Virgin or the series of Entorage, and any Bob Marley CD.
I'd hope to have anything written by Barbara Kingsolver, either any 007 movies with Sean Connery as James Bond, or any movies starring Audrey Hepbern, and any Peter Gabriel Live Concert CD.
Bible, Marley, Ace Ventura
I would bring the Bible, the movie Princess Bride, and the group Third Day.
Music would be anything by country duo Brooks and Dunn (greatest hits vol. 1 if I can only take one)-movie would be any/all of Pirates of the Caribbean (love Johnny Depp) and books would be the author Diana Gabaldon who has a series of 6 books about a nurse who travels back in time to 18th century Scotland. Great stories, plus each book is about 900 pages so by the time I finish one I can start rereading it because I have forgotten what happened at the beginning...
I would bring Dr. Seuss, because that would make being stranded fun! And of course I would bring Modest Mouse to provide the good music and for some humorous entertainment, I'd take Grandma's Boy!
I would have to trade a book for a dvd set. I would want to bring one season of Will & Grace for laughs and one season of Gilmore Girls for tears and then a music cd for fun, probably the Enchanted soundtrack.
